Bioprocess engineering is an essential component for rapid conversion of bioproducts from the laboratory to a manufacturing scale. This makes the benefits of biotechnology on a large scale at a reasonable cost for common people. Bioprocess engineering may include the work of mechanical, electrical, and industrial engineers to apply idea and knowledge of their domains and process based on using living cells.
