He has participated on the Board of Directors of several companies and closed a number of lucrative M&A transactions.

Biography :

Jennifer A Littlechild is a Professor of Biological Chemistry and has established the Henry Wellcome Centre for Biocatalysis at Exeter University in 2003. Her research studies involve the structural and mechanistic characterization of a range of enzymes from thermophilic bacteria and archaea that have industrial applications. She has a particular interest in thermophilic carbonic anhydrase enzymes and has carried out a project with Statoil from 2011-2013. She has published over 200 publications in high impact journals and has presented her research work internationally. She is the UK Representative and Vice-Chair of the European Section of Applied Biocatalysis and member of EU Advisory Committee for Industrial Biotechnology

Dr. Ani Idris, is a Professor in the Department of Bioprocess and Polymer Engineering, Faculty of Chemical and Energy Engineering at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and also holds a cross-appointment as a Fellow in Institute of Bioproduct Development. She is also a founder of MEMTEC PLT a spinoff company of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. She was awarded as Malaysia Top Research Scientist in 2015. She is a Chartered Chemical Engineer and also a Professional Engineer. She has published more than 140 impact factor journals relating to her research area, obtained over 2253 citations, H- index 26 and has 6 patents granted.

Biography :

Professor Dr. Mohd Rafie Bin Johan is a true example of how theoretical and fundamental research leads to remarkable progresses in the applied, engineering and industrial use of nano-designed advanced materials. Born in Melaka, in 1968, Professor Rafie graduated with a BSc in Physics from University of Malaya, Malaysia, in 1993. He continued his studies at Institute for Advanced Studies, Universiti of Malaya, where he obtained his MPhil in Quantum Optics in 1997, moving then to Department of Physics, University of Malaya where he obtained his PhD in Theoretical Physics in 2005. From 1999 to 1991 he was also Head of Biomedical Engineering Program in Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya. He later moved to Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Malaya where from the year 2005 until 2009, as a senior lecturer and played the role of Coordinator for Materials Engineering Undergraduate Program. In 2010, he is promoted to Associate Professor to steer research in Nanomaterials Engineering. Then, in 2015, he is promoted to Professor of Materials Engineering. In 2016, he is transferred to Nanotechnology and Catalysis Research Centre (NANOCAT), University of Malaya Centre of Excellence (UMCOE), an internationally well-recognized center with the mission to be the world leader in “nanotechnology and catalysis” coining sustainability resources and green technology. In 2017, he is appointed as a Director of NANOCAT. Prof. Rafie is well recognized internationally in the field of Nanotechnology. Testimony to this, he has been elected in Evaluation Panels for AET and ITR clusters and UPGP and for grants applications at UMRG, PRGS, FRGS, Qatar Foundation. He also has been appointed as panel for Yang di Pertuan Agong Scholarship and COMSTECS for Islamic Organization Country for evaluation of best scientific papers for Muslim Scientist. Prof Rafie also has been invited as a speaker to numerous talks and conferences and also Guest Editor for Symmetry (ISI journal) and editor for Asean Engineering Journal. In 2010, he was a visiting scientist at Department of Materials Science and Engineering, University of Cambridge and at 2012, he was a visiting scholar at Abdus Salam International Center for Theoretical Physics, Trieste, Italy. The educational contribution of Prof. Rafie may be summarized in few numbers: 15 PhD completed (15 on-going), 22 Master by Research and 5 Master by Course Work completed (7 on going). These supervised students span over a quite broad scientific area going from science (chemistry, physics, material science, biology) to engineering (chemical, material).

B. Sc. in Pharmacy at Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) - Brazil (1986), Ph.D. on Organic Chemistry at UFMG (1994). During the Ph.D. program took two years of fellowship at the Department of Chemistry in the University of Alberta (Edmonton – Canada). Post-Doctoral fellow at University of Liverpool in the field of biotransformation of organic compounds (1998) collaborating with Stanley M. Roberts and Andrew Carnell. Presently is working as Full Professor and research advisor of Master’s and Doctoral Programs at the Institute of Chemistry at Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS). Works mainly with the following: i) synthesis of potential cytotoxic phenolic compounds ii) synthesis of phenolic lipids and iiii) chemical transformations of bioactive natural products. Is associate editor of the new peer-reviewed Electronic Journal of Chemistry (Orbital) at UFMS. First prize during Green and Sustainable Chemistry Challenge 2017, Elsevier Foundation – Berlin (2017).

Dr. Niranjan Koirala, Nepal born researcher earned his Ph.D. from South Korea (2016) and Postdoctoral fellowships from UNAM, Mexico (2018) and UM, Macau SAR (2020). His interest is in the field of pharmaceutical engineering, pharmaceutical/medicinal chemistry, natural products drugs discovery, secondary metabolites, flavonoids, diabetes, antibiotics and anti-cancer agents. He is the recipient of Nepal Bidhya Bhushan “A” award from the honorable President of Nepal, young scientist award, best PhD thesis gold medal award, best oral presentations, best poster presentations and several other research accolades. He has published above 35 original articles in reputed peer-reviewed journals and holds 4 Korean patents. He has a cumulative impact factor of 75, global citations of 700 and h-index 14 as of 2020. He is serving in several national and International indexed journals as the journal editor and editorial board member.

Farizul Kasim is currently the Dean of School of Bioprocess Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), Malaysia and also a researcher fellow in Center of Excellence for Biomass Utilization (CoEBU). Farizul’s research is mostly on production of renewable fuel. Starting with research on various chemical routes to produce renewable liquid fuels, now Farizul now delve into production of fuels and specialty chemicals via biotechnology path. He had published numbers of impact factor research papers on these subjects. Farizul is available for research supervision and collaboration.

Industrial biotechnology, biodiesel production via bioprocessing specialty chemical production via bioprocessing.

Michael C Flickinger received his graduate training in microbial and pharmaceutical biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin (Madison, WI, USA) and post-doctoral training in the School of Chemical Engineering at Purdue University (West Lafayette, IN, USA). He was a Director at the National Cancer Institute Fermentation Facility (Frederick, MD, USA), founding Director of the University of Minnesota Biotechnology Institute (St. Paul, MN, USA), and etc. He has over 170 research publications/book chapters, 150 poster presentations, 20 issued patents; his publication H-index is 27. He is the editor of the Encyclopedia of Bioprocess Technology (5 volumes), the Encyclopedia of Industrial Biotechnology (7 volumes), Upstream, Downstream Industrial Biotechnology (3 volumes), and Process Architecture in Biomanufacturing Facility Design. He has trained 45 graduate students, 64 post docs and visiting scientists, and 48 biochemistry, microbiology, materials, and chemical engineering undergraduates in his cross disciplinary biomaterials and bioprocessing laboratory since 1985.

Dr.Abbas Safarnejad completed Bachelor of Science(1988) in Agronomy and plant breeding from University of Mashhad(Ferdowsi), Iran, Masters of Science(1992) in Genetics and Plant Breeding from Agricultural University of Godollo/Hungary and Ph.D in Biotechnology and Plant genetics from University of Liverpool, UK. He then joined has the head of Natural Resources Department (1996-2004), then has a faculty member of Razavi Khorasan Agricultural and Natural Resources Research Center (2004-2011), then has the organizer of Agricultural Biotechnology Management (2011-2016) and currently he is Associate Professor of Khorasan Razavi Agricultural and Natural Resources Research Center. He was awarded has top researcher of Khorasan Natural Resources and Livestock Research Center (2001), Khorasan Jehad-Sazandgi organization (2002), Khorasan Agricultural and Natural Resources Research Center (2003), Ferdowsi Symposium (2003), Research and Education Organization (2004). He has more than 50 publications in scientific research journal and has attended more than 50 conferences.

Cancellation, Postponement and Transfer of Registration

All cancellations or modifications of registration must be made in writing to

Cancellation Policy

If Allied Academies cancels this event for any reason, you will receive a credit for 100% of the registration fee paid. You may use this credit for another Allied Academies event which must occur within one year from the date of cancellation.


If Allied Academies Ltd postpones an event for any reason and you are unable or unwilling to attend on rescheduled dates, you will receive a credit for 100% of the registration fee paid. You may use this credit for another Allied Academies event which must occur within one year from the date of postponement.

Transfer of registration

All fully paid registrations are transferable to other persons from the same organization, if registered person is unable to attend the event. Transfers must be made by the registered person in writin Details must be included the full name of replacement person, their title, contact phone number and email address. All other registration details will be assigned to the new person unless otherwise specified.

Registration can be transferred to one conference to another conference of Allied Academies if the person is unable to attend one of conferences.

However, Registration cannot be transferred if it is intimated within 14 days of respective conference.

The transferred registrations will not be eligible for Refund.

Visa Information

Keeping in view of increased security measures, we would like to request all the participants to apply for Visa as soon as possible.

Allied Academies will not directly contact embassies and consulates on behalf of visa applicants. All delegates or invitees should apply for Business Visa only.

Important note for failed visa applications: Visa issues cannot come under the consideration of cancellation policy of Allied Academies, including the inability to obtain a visa.

Refund Policy:

If the registrant is unable to attend, and is not in a position to transfer his/her participation to another person or event, then the following refund arrangements apply:

Keeping in view of advance payments towards Venue, Printing, Shipping, Hotels and other overheads, we had to keep Refund Policy is as following slabs-

Before 60 days of the conference: Eligible for Full Refund less $100 service Fee

Within 60-30 days of Conference: Eligible for 50% of payment Refund

Within 30 days of Conference: Not eligible for Refund

Accommodation Cancellation Policy:

Accommodation Providers (Hotels) have their own cancellation policies, and they generally apply when cancellations are made less than 30 days prior to arrival. Please contact us as soon as possible, if you wish to cancel or amend your accommodation. Allied Academies Ltd will advise the cancellation policy of your accommodation provider, prior to cancelling or amending your booking, to ensure you are fully aware of any non-refundable deposits.
